May I now what were you given that you don't want?
Same, need to answer by today noon.
I am still considering and wonder if I can teach music and do CCA for science etc.
I was given the following subjects.
1)Design and Technology (Sec)
2)Computer Applications (Sec)

I don't think I can change my teaching subjects after going interview with shortlisted subjects. I decided to request to change. Today is the last day to hear and seem like less hope.

When is your interview date?

I see... quite different from your preferred subject.
Interview next Thursday afternoon at Buona Vista HQ.
All the best with HR, hope you manage to persuade them to change!

Hi guys, if theres any ex teacher/current teacher/tutors etc who can help/give advice, can you guys share what are the pros/cons of teaching pri sch vs sec sch?

I am planning to apply for MOE next year but still unsure of the age range that i should apply for...

Would appreciate any kind input! Feel free to DM me if youre not open to putting to opinion in public!

Hi, anyone offered PGDE PE? I applied twice for Eng/Maths (Pri) but was offered PE instead. Both times I withdraw as PE requires to pass the PPT. Afraid if I apply again they will offer the same.

Anyone went for PPT before? What happen if we cannot do one of the station? eg. Gymnastics

Can we still be scheduled for interview?

Why do they keep offering you PE? Do you have sports background that they are aware off?

I was very active in sports when I was in Secondary schools and Poly. School captain and represent schools for tournament. However my diploma and degree totally not related with sports. Will be very surprised if MOE take into account of our CCA back in School instead of our degree specialisation.

Anyway I’m a mid career and secondary/poly days almost 10 years ago.

Went for the interview like 2 weeks ago but have yet to hear back from them regarding whether I will be accepted or not. Has anyone from the latest interview batch heard back from them?

Starting to get worried about my chances

So i think it usually takes up to 1 month for them to reply. Alternatively you can check Careers@gov for any updates too.

Did you receive any notification asking you to select dates for the Language Entrance Test?

I feel it depends on your own preference and also the syllabus you are comfortable with. Both primary and secondary school have their own different challenges too.

Think a bunch of us went for interview around the same time (first week of July). My interview was on Thurs, I heard back from MOE by Monday. Was really shocked because I was sure I screwed up the interview and I'd also heard that they will only get back to you a month later. So it was a surprise to hear from them a few days later.

Maybe check your spam folder? They would have also sent you an SMS saying something like 'Dear Applicant, an email regarding your application for a teaching position has been sent to you'.
