Hi, does anyone know if not having a laptop for the first 2 weeks of school(DSS) gonna be a big problem?

I do have a pc at home though.
Nope. You don't really need it till fyp. Doesn't really need for fyp also. But it's slightly easier if you meet outside.

You won't need to carry a laptop if you don't want to. It's just more convenient to have one.

Personally I prefer to keep a partition on my laptop solely for schoolwork, I can then nuke that partition once I no longer require the software.

Hi all, I am from July intake this year, taking DSS full time, just finished my first term, my second term is starting in a week time and my exam results have yet to be reflected in SOLS, the moodle system, just want to know from my seniors around when would the exam results be released usually.

Also, I hope know what are the administrative actions I have to take to prepare for next term, like enrolling into modules, because I have seen from simconnect the weekly schedule for next term, and it looks like I have been automatically enrolled into certain modules. I thought that I have do the enrollment myself through SOLS, so I was a little confused. Do I still have to do the enrollment through SOLS?
