Cool. I have the 200-400L lens too which I used for F1 this year, but switched to the 1200L mid-race as I felt that I needed something more hefty to hand-hold. The 200-400L was a little too light to counter my horrible habit of snapping the trigger.
I have 2 1200 f5.6L, the weight of one is just child's play, so I handheld 2 at the same time. Even then, it wasn't too heavy at all.

Agree. When I apprenticed, this was taught to me by macro and stock photo pros: If you can't handhold lenses like 1200L for 12 hours straight, you don't deserve to be a photographer.

I used the 800 f/2.8 that Nikon specially made for me together with the unreleased D4XS that has quadruple XQD slots for F1.

Quite steady and easy to handheld. Total weight about 15KG only. I find the range more versatile then the 1200-1700 which is only AI and cannot AF.

I also deployed two strobes on the race-track and triggered remotely using Nikon CLS.

You should try the same.
