Is there any shops that buy faulty lens

My Nikkor 16-85 has recently lost its autofocus ability. Nikon quoted me $420 to fix it. No way I'm going spend that amount, but I couldn't possibly dispose it. Is there any shops that takes in faulty lens? How much will it fetch? Any experts can advise?
