Who went and told you that?

Melatonin has NOT been conclusively proven to be safe for use in pregnancy.

I searched online and found out that melatonin may have some neuroprotective effect for the developing fetus and also because it a naturally-occuring hormone it should be quite safe

What then would be a safe option for a pregnant woman with insomnia? drowsy antihistamines like chlorpheniramine?

Are these signs of a serious illness? If yes, what could it be?

It could be cancer.

Those studies are inconclusive, and the form of melatonin present in pills is not a 100% match for what the body synthesizes.

Chlorpheniramine is indeed an option, but I would not recommend using it until she is past her first trimester.

Magnesium supplements are another suitable remedy.

But you obviously look pinoy... I think sooner or later you have to acknowledge there's probably a pinoy in your family tree somewhere.

U look like a pinoy fisherman dude

There are no pinoys in my family tree.

Nobody in my family has gone anywhere near that dump.

4-6 on a work day.

8-10 on an off day.

I don't sleep late; I usually knock off early, then wake up in the middle of the night and spend 2-3 hours awake before going back to sleep again.
