Sit ups, push ups and squats.

Thanks. Good suggestions. These are exercises that don't require equipment. Cheap and effective.

Pick up 'Solitary Fitness' by Charles Bronson if you can.

He details a lot of effective exercise techniques that you can perform without any equipment and using only a small space.

Hi Dr Nachtsider,

Kate Spade committed suicide due to depression. She did not seek treatment to protect her brand name. I think that doctors, being a profession that is widely respected, are likely to avoid depression treatment for the same reason. Save face, avoid being cast in a bad light. Doctors must be seen as a cut above the general population. So, cannot have depression ...

Have you encountered similar problems among doctors? Is it possible for a doctor to accurately diagnose himself as suffering from depression?

Even if it was a hoax, so what?

It's a harmless hoax that hurts no one.

I have definitely heard of depressed doctors, but have yet to actually encounter any.

The only doctor I personally know who committed suicide did not commit suicide because of depression, but rather due to relationship problems.

I would advise fellow medical professionals to refrain from self-diagnosing.

I think that doctor who committed suicide might actually have depression but it was covered up because fellow doctors wanted to uphold the image of the profession. He didn't seek treatment for the sake of image. Do you think this is a plausible theory?

What's the logic against self-diagnosing? The doctor knows himself the best. His past medical history, his lifestyle, habits are familiar to himself. NO one would care more about him than himself. 100% alignment of interest. Wouldn't he be best equipped with the knowledge to diagnose himself?

Hey pinoy, is it you really crave attention that's why u create an AMA thread about yourself?

Also why you will search for threads mentioning you're pinoy and reply with the same scripted answer Everytime?

Did you have a lack of attention as a kid?

No, she committed suicide due to relationship problems. I know this for a fact.

The logic against self-diagnosing is that the doctor will not be able to look at himself through unbiased eyes.

I am not pinoy.

I have never studied within the Singaporean education system.

My degree is from Melbourne Uni and I specialise in emergency medicine.
