Hmmm, looks like time to refinance. This is for the other loan. Rate just upped to 1.85%.

I know I can get 1.65% from DBS for 2 years. What are you guys using again?

Also:

Okay, this is one of the more hilarious saga I've seen:

https://mothership.sg/2018/02/wrestle-shirtless-mma/
DBS for me: 70% of the loan is 1.99% fixed 3 years, 30% of the loan variable that increases to 2.5%.....

And now we see why DBS giving so much dividend.

Also, that is a very strange loan you've got. Want to clear a small part of it faster?

i made a mistake. initially i structured it in such a way is because the variable portion has no locked-in period so i can pay off whenever i want. but it turns out i dun have much liquidity to pay back much...

I get what you are saying but....

You're going to do refinance every 2-3 years.

Might as well reduce quantum then if you want.

Thats what I'm doing. Saving up to reduce quantum every time the tie in period is over.

Rate is not so good for repricing though. just hope to finish repay the loan by the end of this new cycle. So troublesome to reprice every 2 years.
