wrong place to ask....

most here drink kopitiam low quality coffee , powder from across the border.

the rest are just posers trying to show they are 'high ses'

personally i feel arabica is too common it is boring, it is good to try different options.

Any kind of coffee should be either arabica or robusta, or a blend of the two.

May come from different regions but is essentially either type. Cannot tell from pic what those really are.

Both Robusta and Arabica originated from Africa I thought?

Robusta is the cheaper "type", and most prefer "Arabica" as it's supposedly better? But a country can have both dependent on what the plantation do right?

Hard to say coz Africa has both arabica and robusta types. It is said that Arabica type originated from Ethiopia and Robusta from Uganda, but you might find both in both countries. Only way to know for the coffees you showed is to ask the barista what type/blend they are.

Also the roast type affects how distinct they taste. The darker the roast, the less you can tell where they came from.

I think it's all about preference already.

Same type of coffee, grow in different altitude, climate and methods will give a different bean.

After that still got roasting methods or some blend multiple sources of beans to create a blend.
