Just like to share what i found and had bought for home water filter system.

after doing some intensive research over 2 weeks. i decide for APEC 5 stage reverse osmosis under sink water filter.

i was torn between using expresswater or APEC. But from reviews both in amazon and outside, it seemed APEC is the preferred model. but expresswater comes cheaper and with extra water filter !

I have left the UV light option out as i think ours is considered city water that is already well treated and besides i do not want complication of getting the wiring for uv light and if anything wrong i gotta fix the uv.

however, since i cannot find a company here selling, i will have to diy install. i manage to get a plumber who say he can install but regarding the kitchen top faucet, he need my kitchen contractor to install the faucet, the rest he can do. so YES!

i bought from amazon and ship via forwarder. Not sure if free shipping Singapore , like not .

This is the expresswater
Water is wasted in RO setup.

How much water is rejected in order to produce 1L of RO made water?

Dirty eat dirty big.

I drinks from my fish tank which has a very good filter system. Run by electricity one, 24/7.

Those filters r consuming lesser iron for the body.

I've been thinking about getting one for my new home, just a basic under-sink type that connects directly to the existing kitchen faucet, not those that require adding a "drinking water faucet". Might not use it long-term, just that with new BTO new pipings etc, it takes time for it to be decently clear of rust and other sediment ... we have members of the estate group who shared pics of their filters, 2 months+ usage filter already looks like time-to-change, months before the recommended change interval.

I am still undecided on which to get though, from reviews people who use the 3M ones report drop in water pressure ... it's supposed to be normal, but still ...
FYI,
3M FF100 flow rate is up to 9.5 litre per minute. 3M FF100 is undersink connect to your tap. The water flow will be lower for those with Faucet.

http://solutions.3m.com.sg/wps/porta...er-Sink/FF100/

Standard HDB flow is from 8 to 12 litre per minute. According to this website. Good read to know about water pressure situation in Singapore.

Hope it is useful for you.
