oooh i always thought these were just for switching on and off haha… they actually do monitoring as well? can screenshot the app interface?
Forgot to mention... the smart plug can also be used to schedule on/off your appliance and also to on/off from remote even if you are outside...
the indication of the power consumption is more of a bonus feature...

how much does these smart plug costs at the cheapest?
When I first bought the Belkin smart plug many yrs ago it cost me abt $100...
Then a couple of yrs back bought the D-Link smart plug for abt $50 or so...
Recently bought from PC show the TP-Link smart plug + smart bulb set for $70...

Then a couple of yrs back bought the D-Link smart plug for abt $50 or so...
Recently bought from PC show the TP-Link smart plug + smart bulb set for $70...

I've used it to compile a list of my appliance power consumption incl power consumption at standby mode for my info...

The main usage of the smart plug is still for remote on/off of my appliance as well as to schedule on/off for selected appliance eg the fan...

Can also use it for timed charging of some equipment like speakers where i don't plug/unplug the charging cable of my speaker everytime...

We also got no idea. It's up to ah gong to decide, like our GST. It may or may not be implemented. No one knows
