Sembcorp power also got a flat fee plan. $69.90/mth for <450kwh. Other than that is 13.8% or fixed $0.185/kwh

Flat fee is interesting as in theory is 15.53c/kwh, but may be hard to manage and encourages wastage just to try to reach near 450kwh quota to be optimal. Electricity isn't broadband internet after all.

Yeah. That also depends on your usage, if happens your usage monthly hover around that 450kwh, it would be useful. Won't be useful for me as mine is around 500kwh. I would rather choose the discounted off-peak and peak, to better utilize my power usage and better track which appliances is using the most power

...Other alternative is to pick a plan that has carbon offsets as an add on or built in.
That’s another thing: hidden costs, i.e. all these new plans have the new SG carbon tax & the $40 to install the AMI meter (except 1 out of the 14), hidden in their hidden costs right?

From March 19, an embargo on marketing by these retailers will be lifted, freeing them to start promoting their electricity plans.

EMA plans to hold a roadshow with all 14 retailers on April 21-22 at Westgate.

Which means all retailers had just started their marketing and sales just yesterday. I was at market yesterday when Best Electricity was giving out flyers, MRT station where Keppel Electricity is having a booth with sales man. I expect more to come soon

We also got three teleco providers.
Are they any cheaper now ?
i remember when starhub came in,
overseas calls immediately slashed 1/2 price...

Nope. Currently only for postal codes starting with 60, 61, 62, 63 and 64, will be able to switch to a retailer of their choice.

just my 2 cents:

already signed up with Ohm and got referral and 50% off first 2 bills... that was before I came across this thread and looked up on Geneco-Seraya...

Ohm - no frills, all inclusive price and billing is through SP so no need to headache separate bills... price wise is also one of if not the lowest; renewal is same terms as your signup

Geneco-Seraya - all inclusive price, free smart meter and off peak price is very attractive for overnight aircon users BUT one major concern is renewal terms

People are talking about taking advantage of the off peak pricing charge battery and whatnot, but for the layman they won't really want to go through all the trouble... they want to sign up, get the cheapest price and forget about it... Geneco pricing by itself may be good already, but my concern is what happens after the contract term... if the offer 2 year contract might be worth considering... Ohm on the other hand ticks alot of checkboxes...
Ohm is 6 months contract right? What happend after 6 months? Is it still the same rate?

Two of the plans no contract. Auto renew iirc.
