I think he means that some offered rates (perhaps like 15.99?) are technically not possible to do while having a reasonable profit to stay sustainable, hence the possibility of some retailers purposely burning capital just to gain marketshare.

I think Ohm's general strategy for non standard plans is more of securing their $10 profit first before giving you rates at their cost price, which can be seen from Simply and Market Ohm so I can see that their assumption is plausible.
When geneco just started out. It was really to gain market share. Hence the 15.99 flash sale

True, agree, at least the secure your fixed $10 every month, that is if you don't terminate. Their winning point is also it's non contract, so you can switch out any time. That could be lost for Ohm, but not alot, as their simply ohm is quite low. If they can price Simply lower, while perhaps increasing the fixed $10, they might get more new sign ups.

Sorry for the noob qns:

1) The referral codes are a 1 time off thingy? Or every month $20 off bill?
2) Whats the concern for separate bill for Geneco?

If you are referring to Ohm, $20 is the referral off. It will be $20off your bill. Should you sign up with a referral code (which I have), you will get $20 credits, I will also get $20.
On the other hand, once you signed up, you get your own referral code, that's where you can also refer people, and you get $20 credits for every people you refer.

Geneco is shopping vouchers, hence depends on what you like.

Some people like 1 bill, don't want separate bill for utilities. If you like everything to stay the same in SP Bill, ohm will be a good choice. Do let me know if you want ohm referral code

Hi,

I replied your pm and my feedback for the following:

1) The referral codes are a 1 time off thingy? Or every month $20 off bill?

[Feedback] Its one time plus accumulative for both Geneco and Ohm. One time is during the signup registration and accumulative is when you received your referral code to refer to others. E.g. 3x family or friends used your referral codes, you will get $60 referral credit or vouchers

2) Whats the concern for separate bill for Geneco?

[Feedback] No concern since security deposit if waived, previously for those who are not integrated with SP, consumers need to pay security deposit. Geneco has since waived it.

For bill payment, some think pay direct together with SP easier but since we all have other bills to pay, i think the main concern is how easy is it to make payment

Payment modes for Geneco
Recurring Payment: Mastercard, Visa, GIRO DBS
Self-Service Machines: Make use of AXS Stations located islandwide.
Customer Self-Service Portal: Login to your Geneco Self-service Portal account via account.geneco.sg and make payment via the one-time payment option or setup a recurring payment option.

Rising oil prices pose economic risks

https://www.straitstimes.com/opinion...economic-risks

Oil prices continue to climb. Now US$80 PER barrel.
Looks like Jan-Mar 2019 tariff is going to climb again

What are your concerns? You are worried if you will missed out on the promos etc due to long term contract?

Since our power stations are using natural gas to produce electricity, hopefully next tariff is not increase due to a non related fuel price increase...lol

Although natural gas prices are increasing too

Gas prices are usually tied to crude for some reason or another

The 50% off first 3 bills is very crucial. Ohm first batch users benefited much from this.
