Any ideas once we switched can we still use the GST rebate provided from the gahmen?

Actually good question, once I tried to look it up in the Openelectricitymarket site and Ohm FAQ

Ohm FAQ states this

Am I still entitled to receive GST Voucher- U-Save when I switch to Ohm?
Yes, you are. SP Group will continue managing the GST Voucher - U-Save for your utilities account.
Nothing found on OEM website (someone point it out to me pls if have)

It actually seems to imply that if your retailer ownself bill rather than go through SP, you probably can't use it for electricity. Probably can use for water though.

If you sign up for Ohm then you can still enjoy the "U-Save" because you won't receive another bill for the electricity.

Ohm work with PUB that's why you still can enjoy the "U-Save"

Any U Save credits are first used to clear the outstanding balance of your SP bill. Any excess will be used to offset your retailer bill

Yes, but if that is indeed the case, it means picking a retailer that bills you directly has the potential disadvantage of not being able to use it for electricity directly. If you get the unusual theoretical case of a household use only electricity and no water or gas, the U-Save voucher can never get used.

Good for the clarification. Thx.

Is there a mention somewhere in some FAQ?

Yes it's in the TNC in all retailer website when you signup. One of EMA's requirement to put it inside

EMA should probably put that upfront in the OEM portal FAQs then. I cannot tell that this is the fact for all retailers, as I signed up with Ohm which uses SP group for billing anyway, so assuming that U-Save arrangements doesn't affect them due to this fact is probably natural.

I did alot of home work on this open market.

Because myself don't want to receive additional bills from other company just for electricity.

I noticed SP bill I got deposit $250/- when I open account previously.

Will SP refund this deposit when I sign up with other retailer?

Retailers using SP group for billing will just take a part of the current deposit, no need to pay extra deposit.

Other retailers you need to pay them a separate deposit. The deposit you already paid SP goes to cover water and gas, won't be refunded.
