just curious, anyone here from jurong signed up for 24 months and above?
I signed up for Geneco fixed 24mths. Looking back, would have signed up for maybe even 3-5 years; but of course, hindsight is always 20/20.

Can someone help me?? Am I being over charge?

My usage with SP highest ever in record was below 650 kwh but recently 2 months ago I changed to Geneco and my first month bill was actually 900plus kwh and I thought that maybe itís 1.5months bill but itís not, itís just a 1 month thing, 2nd month was almost 900 kwh again, my usage pattern has not changed abit. Anyone faces the same issue?
Any update on this.. something to consider before changing to oem

SP is changing all of the meters to AMI regardless if you change OEM or stay with SP. Thus if you combine increase of household consumption with higher tariff rate ...then you will pay more at a higher price

Frankly, power consumption is a very general term, you want to csi, you need special tools and be able to calculate each appliances consumptions. Can be costly.

A smart home consumes more than a non smart home.

Both are good. Pricing wise, they are not so far ahead.
24mths Fixed, Geneco $0.1688, Ohm $0.1695

We do not have the figures on how had perform better, what I could say, both are equally ahead of the competition.

Actually in terms of pricing, you look at the spreadsheet, it almost like a bird eye view.

Plug in the kwh on top and the tariff price on top, the spreadsheet will start to work in your favour.

Looking at the pricing, makes you think otherwise. A 1 year pricing maybe attractive, but 1 year very fast past over. Being the TS, you should know how fast that time flies..lol, very soon again one be making that decision again.

SimplyOhm has not expiry, currently it is very attractive.

The excel does not factor TLF for OEMs who do not absorb

There are some rows with no unit costs also...those we skip the calculated value?

Give you spreadsheet must also learn to read. Rather, it is the Elect. Co. pricing structure.

This is not a unit base charging. More like it is cap at the respective kwh ceilings. Much like a handphone plan caps on bandwidth. In this case, we are looking at flat rate measured in kwh.

Here it looks physically at your power consumption ceiling.

Sembcorp (Flat rate)
24 months
24M Flat 300 (Capped 300kwh) $50.90
24M Flat 450 (Capped 450kwh) $75.90
24M Flat 600 $101.90
24M Flat 900 $151.90
24M Flat 1250 $211.90

12 months
12M Flat 300 $51.90
12M Flat 450 $76.90
12M Flat 600 $103.90
12M Flat 900 $153.90
12M Flat 1250 $213.90

It looks pretty similar to a handphone plan or internet plan. That is the way they structured it and so far the only Elect. Co. that comes up with this plan.

If you ask me attractive or not. I'd say no....ha ha. I want to pay for what I use, not what I don't use.

Simply Ohm is simply attractive. But, being no contract, they can anytime change its plan terms. They did mentioned that the $10 fee can change at times.
