This only works if u have more than 400 SGD of electric bills a month right? I thought can get 15 cents per kwh?

How come the numbers are so different?
I cannot wait for it to come to east side.
Now open market starting April for Jurong households

Not really. But assume for those above 500kwh. Then you will see real savings. Geneco have an off peak discount of 50%, which is $0.10/kWh which is really attractive.

Why nobody want to buy from 1 of the big 3 genco than buying from other 11 small coy?

Big 3 genco have big turbine to generate huge kilowatt. And reliable too.

big genco which i referring to is Seraya,Senoko and Tuas power. they have been supplying electricity for Singapore for the past over 20 years.

the small genco.. hmm...

Seems like rather redundant, why can't the main power just give people the cheaper rate straight. Create a middle man just to let them earn. If everyone produce their own power sell then nothing to say. But this, think its not real competition, just creating an artificial market to make it look like competition.
Deregulation is supposed to take the load off the peak and super peak hours.

The retailers buy the batteries to ease the super peak load.

The 12am to 6am is the best example, power generation plants cannot switch on or off or throttle very fast and there are optimum running capacity.

That’s why Elon Musk can sell powerwall.

They have competitive pricing too. 20% discount and or fixed rate at $0.16/kWh. Was also wondering why can't we also use our rooftop solar panel to supplement our power supply?
Some of Jurong HDB have solar panels above us

Pricing is 1 thing to compare, supplying / service after sales and reliability is another few things to account for.

Im sure you wouldn't want to sign up on a newly small generating company that gives problem such as service after sales right?

As for solar panel on rooftop. Will That might be for HDB usage for lifts or so? Not really sure what the usage.

There is a misconception.

All.the gencos in spore produce electricity 24/7. They sell it at the wholesale market. All the electicity retailers including SP Sevices buys electricity from the wholesale market at prices that change every half hourly.

So the consumer side supply, regardless of the retailer, has the same degree of reliability as they are all buying from the wholesale market and using SP PG infrastructure to transmit..

500wh is about 1000sgd a month. Only crypto miners will use that kinda power. How much more discount we talking about?

Geneco by Seraya Energy
1) Fixed $0.1683/kwh
2) 20% off
3) [Peak Periods (6am-12am) 10% off ($0.194/kwh)]
[Off-Peak Periods (12am-6am) 50% off ($0.1078/KWh)]
I am confused by this. Do u mean 6pm to 12am for peak period?
Off peak is 12am-6pm? Off peak is 18 hours right?

Seraya peak is 18 hours, maybe they should make clear 0600 to 2359

Common sense is unfortunately not common at all.. HardwareZone Forums app
Yep. I'm awared that whoever we buy from. At the end of the the process SP is the the "middle man" that we still have to approach for any problem.

What i meant was . Besides pricing, Will there be anyone thought of getting from the main 3 genco that been supplying electricity 24/7 since the past 20yrs? Rather than getting from this newly small generating watt companies?

Dun make me laugh.
We also got three teleco providers.
Are they any cheaper now ?
Without starhub and m1 joining in. Probably we still need to pay for local incoming call for stinktel
