And this may sound really silly, but whats the difference between an euphonium and a baritone, or are they the same thing?
Same. US call it baritone while UK call it euphomium

the band parts for american composition (like CL Barnhouse publishing) is usually baritone while those british ones (booseys and hawkes) is euphonium

my family is poor so i cannot afford to learn piano violin, the only option i have is join skool band

primary skool play cornet
secondary and jc play tuba
army and uni play clarinet

i picked up flute along the way

Wow, a fellow tuba-player!

You seem like an accomplished musician! I have always wanted to play the piano, violin and the flute. But I think I would just stick to the piano, if I ever start playing musical instruments again, first

musicians do not care about aesthetics. all we care about is making good music.

playing music is just like having sex. you can do it either alone or in a group

you prefer to do it alone. For my case, i have no choice but to do it in a group

-High fives DS back-

A fellow-tuba player! Thats rare!

When did you play those?

And this may sound really silly, but whats the difference between an euphonium and a baritone, or are they the same thing?

I recently checked out the Yamaha shop at Plaza Sing when I was in town and the price for a trumpet is approximately 2 thousand

Same here; probably forgot all the notes but I would forever remember all the fingering
during secondary school from Sec 1 to middle of Sec 4 to prepare for o levels.
After that I didnt continue because I had a lot of problems getting the rhythm. Also, band takes up a lot of time and commitment and schoolwork in JC was extremely hectic.

From what I know, they about the same and can use interchangeably. Baritone is slightly smaller and more rectangular in shape.

Trumpet super expensive de!! Especially since most instruments are silver coated or stainless steel to prevent rusting. A lot of sound check and QC is needed that why so expensive.

Still remember fingering from my SYF piece. I think I played it at least 100 times. Go up stage dont even need to bring music score.

Learned guzheng since primary 1 all the way till secondary 3, after which I still play and practice on my own till JC. The teacher never once send me to any grading test or whatsoever, only enroll us (his students) to participate in solo competitions, make us go perform at malls or CCs during festivals etc.

Was in Chinese orchestra since primary 3 (joined CC one first, and later on joined as CCA in sec sch as well as in PAYCO) till JC1. Most of the time I play zhongruan, but during the times when I was in my sec sch CO, I will switch around to wherever needs me. For eg - I was part of the percussion group for SYF competition when I was in sec 3.

Stopped both during my JC days because studies were beginning to get more hectic. And also I've somewhat lost interest in them as well. I still like music, but I dislike the social interaction part in having to join this and that activities organised by the the committee etc. So I stopped going / attending the practice sessions.
u are super talented!!!
Guzheng, zhongruan and percussion are so different!!!

do u still play them at home? My niece has her own guzheng.

my family is poor so i cannot afford to learn piano violin, the only option i have is join skool band

jin satki. Flute is not cheap. smelly smelly about $800 for a decent one because of the need to assemble all the small small different parts despite being so portable.

Tiagong play cornet trumpet are good kissers. is it true?
