I mean it is not a bad drink, although as one gets older, one will switch more to other drinks like coffee and tea.

But the overall popularity of Milo is just overwhelming in Sg. In terms of cups of Milo sold per person, I think we will have the highest ratio by far. Even if go Australia where Milo is invented, also dont see Australians drinking it so much compared to Sg.

You often see videos of tourists or expats on YouTube, wondering why Singaporeans are so obsessed with this drink called Milo. Even overseas people know that Milo is a national drink in Sg.

Any idea why Milo can be such a legendary drink in Sg?

Their marketing strategy of providing it FOC to primary schools is brilliant. All Singaporeans and Malaysians psychologically link Milo to happy carefree childhood days.

Ovaltine - Originally from Switzerland in 1904 - although introduced by UK colonial master earlier than Milo (Sydney, Australia - 1934) had no chance. Both are from Nestle.

I will only order milo kosong at coffeeshop nowadays if I feel like it once in a blue moon. I think their gauge on the right amount of powder is pretty good.
