Fully automated underground bicycle parking launched in Singapore

SINGAPORE: Residents in the Woodlands precinct now have another option when parking their bicycles - one that will keep them from being stolen or getting wet when it rains.

A S$4.7 million underground bicycle parking system, called SecureMyBike, was launched on Friday (Jan 5) at Kampung Admiralty, an integrated residential complex next to Admiralty MRT station.

It is Singapore's first fully automated underground bicycle parking system.

wanbao reported the usage is very low and may face closure!

- Biceberg signed 10 years contract with lta
- "expert" suggested open for free use instead of close down
- reporter said in 2 hours only 1 user

what morons.....whose gonna push their bikes to a certain location just to park it when they can simply park their bicycles anywhere?thats the beauty of owning a bicycle.....

unless its like a $5000 specialized bike, then again u can always park it at home....

better to tear it down and build a underground automated car park at jewel where there is actual demand and need.
