Joining Rank
ASP- Master Degree
Insp- Bachelor Degree
Sgt- Diploma
Cpl- Higher Nitec
Lcp- Nitec
PC- O level & Below

Aetos are paid generally paid higher & more relaxed. Less complication in deployment. Eg Aetos PC earned abt $3.5k while cisco only abt $2.5k.

SO

For Cisco, you will start as ASP if you have 2nd upper Hons Degree & above and 2nd lower Hons Degree & below will start with Insp.

For Aetos, Polytechnic Diploma / Degree can apply for Direct Insp rank.

They don't take Master Degree into consideration for Direct SO entry rank.

JO

For Cisco, you start as SGT if you have Polytechnic Diploma but not sure for Aetos (Hear will start from CPL for Aetos for Polytechnic Diploma holders these days).

For other qualifications below Polytechnic Diploma, you will all start from PC rank for all APF organizations.

To further add on, I think Insp for Cisco will depend if they are hiring. If there are no available positions, they will offer SGT to degree holders too.

For AETOS, i can confirm the last time i spoke to a recruiter was CPL for diploma holders.

Rank is negotiable depends how you talk to the recruiter..there are people who start off as SSG & SSS based on their NS rank. Whatever rank, you are paid the same salary. Now IPPT not mandatory.

True, it depend on how your APF organization recommend your rank to SPF during application. For example, if you are a MAJ(NS) from SAF, your APF organization may recommend your rank to DSP (APF) for the appointment of CO.

Whatever rank, you are paid the same salary.

Not true, it depend on how you negotiate your salary & what your APF organization have in mind for your deployment.

Now IPPT not mandatory.

Not true & it depend if you are under 'Armed' APO for IPPT or 'Un-armed' APO for non-IPPT. You can also be Armed APO but medical unfit for IPPT due to your PES status.

CA training is tough....every batch about 20% will not graduate..especially Malaysians coz they belittle the course...everyday wake up 5am..Food is like prison food..sometimes feel army cookhouse better. After training, if you deployed to bank then shiok everyday 8-5..everyone ask for bank posting....if u kenna KINS, u go 12 hours shift.

Those who don't graduate from the course must pay money back to Cisco? Like training course fee?

Yes. Pay back training fees equivalent to whatever you have received so far plus liquidated damages. Say PC is $1100 (mth salary) + $5000.

Now PT is conducted by Cisco Fitness Instructor (same as Tekong instructors). They stopped log PT already.

No. PT training by the trainer itself.

Actually Cisco APO jobscope for 12hrs shift is ok. not that really bad. but still got people think not worth do to the job.

Now adays people join APO be it at cisco and aetos just for the money, after that quit because of working hours?!

then might as well join government job. Got bonus etc. but not all government job you work ot got pay.

But if really want a long term job. if all join cisco or aetos and don't care about the working shift. more people join. all got more off day. work shift also not bad.

If work outside office hour job 8am-5pm. Do OT also depends on the boss.

So choose a job as a career wisely.

Private sector uniform or government sector uniform got good and bad.
