Accurate starting pays on this reddit thread

I sometimes browse reddit and saw this: https://www.reddit.com/r/singapore/comments/dre67o/working_adults_of_singapore_how_much_did_you_get/

Generally, starting pay around $2.5 to $3.5K.

A few got $4.4 to $4.7.

I think it is accurate, unlike some threads on HWZ or salary.sg, with unrealistic figures.

Seeing these figures, I felt kinda sad, I guess?

In mid-2009,my probation pay was $2K. After 6 month probation, confirmation pay was $2.5K.

Now in late 2019,my monthly salary is $4.2K. In a few of the places I work, I saw the power of favouritism where FTs got promoted faster despite doing less work.
