A place to grow

I joined Aceplp as a fresh graudate, from then till now I do not have much complaints as i got to learn autocad and revit skills, which i know is good for my future career path.

I really appreciate the opportunity that the company provides and being able to learn different skills and the chance to work with different companies.

Its quite good if you are fresh graduate and interested in the drafting and modelling industry. :)

You need to work hard as learning new skills can be difficult but its rewarding.

I think this is a place for people who wants to learn skills like Autocad and Revit.

You need to work 5.5 days during starting period , however it is a good place for graduates to start and learn new skills, meet new friends and have a better career prospect.

Hope my comments helps! :) :)

So far So Good

My start with Aceplp has been a mixed of ups and downs due to the programme being so fast paced because its just 2 months however due to the help of my fellow apprentice and trainers I was able to cope with work.

At first the salary was a bit of a problem but progressively when I am getting better projects salary is good for a start.

So far so good.

Peaceful Environment

Hi guys,

I have worked in Aceplp before.

What I love here is the peaceful environment and this is very important to me as I don't like noisy workplaces :s13::s12:

Hardwork is key if you want to move up the career ladder I guess .

But overall it is really a enjoyable experience as I get to go and learn from different companies .

Progression

I used to work for a interior design company and used AutoCAD most of the time but I did not really feel any progression. Since I found out that the company is providing training i felt that its a good opprtunity for me.

Training was difficult for me from the start since I was away from school for 2 years now but the trainers help me to catch up.

The most annoying part is that sometimes no choice must really go to a far away project site but good thing is that its only for a short period of time.

Overall the experience is good.

I worked as a BIM/CAD trainee here in Aceplp. So far its fun because I get to practice and get expose to architectural drawings.

One thing I am sad about is that you will not always get the project you want. But overall everything is okay since I am still learning new things apart from architectural drawings.

Big in the Market

Since BIM/CADD is becoming more popular in Singapore. I thought this will be a big opportunity for me to gain new skills. Aceplp has provided me that since they offer the apprenticeship programme. What I like about this is that I am able to network in the companies that I am attached to. However, I am still getting used to the thought of always changing project locations. Quite tiring but managable.

During the training period , I learn different software and I manage to gain different skills and experience with the company.

I am able to use these skills when I am doing the application part.

I look forward to my future career in this industry in the future. :s8:

The training they provide to trainees are so basic
that u can learn from any CAD books which u can find
in the library. As long as u finish up the basic autocad
and microstation trainning..( can be within a month or 2)
u will be really to be sell as a skillful cad engineers to customers
( as what they claim on-the job -trainning). But when u
unable to produce what the customers want due to lack
of experience then they will ask for replacement. ( that mean u r
rejected and sent back to office) although due to insufficient training
but the boss scold u for not put in effort in your job.
They are more to say.. :(
Especially the Contract.. word with in word to trap careless ppl in.
Even MOM cannot do anything. :s16:

why do you say that MOM can't do anything?

scammers

Recently went for their so called interview. The AcePLP HR people are big scammers especially that guy with surname Hoo/or Foo. I didn't even apply for the position but he contacted me through phone I don't know where did they steal my data from. As the reputation of the company seems to have some problems as I have read through some of the online posts I took it quite seriously in order to not waste too much of my time since people said there will be some one two tests involved in the interview. After thorough negotiations through both emails and phone calls with this HR guy we reached a mutual agreement that if I get accepted by the conpany the lowest basic starting pay (which excludes project allowances , OT or whatsoever) will be 2.3k due to my last drawn pay was much higher than this, otherwise I wouldn't be attending the interview so it has to be cancelled and he agreed with me regarding the starting basic pay issue and invited me for the interview. But later I found out it was a complete waste of time and a scam while I was doing the test they just threw me a contract which indicated that the starting pay would be 1.6k which is even lower than typical WP foreigner workers serving in Kopitiam. After I found out I was cheated to come here I tried to find that Hr guy Hoo but his colleagues claimed that he was taking leave, then I called his multiple phone numbers to to clarify the issue I even found out that he has blocked me and all the lines couldn't get through. I have missed an important interview because of this scam, and I also suspect them for collecting personal data illgally as Singapore law states clearly that non- government organizations are not allowed to collect candidates' full NRIC numbers before the confirmation of employment, but they have recorded the full NRICs and even family backgrounds, military ranks and units of all interview candidates. And their filipino hr interviewee woman was rude af she even mocked my accent eventhough she also spoke English with accent.
