Champions league next!

City wish they're still in it. They can have a break they wanted.

Loud cheer around Old Trafford when City scored. From Fergie calling them 'noisy neighbours' to United supporting their cross town rivals...a club in decline.

ManC is now on a 12 winning streak run.

Will it ends at 13?

What else can they cheer? Their top 4 challengers are dropping points but they still can't take advantage. The players don't seem motivate to play for them. Massive rebuilding needed. They have to pay big money in transfers and wages to bring in players. That's is if the top players want to pay there.

Anyway I rather look forward to the Barca game.

no joke man. they will confirm leave de... there is no heart to play for a team with no heart. Manager has to be heartless to cut the deadwood. Just dun remove dead woodward can liao.
Which top players would want to play for them without UCL? Not only that, the manager is inexperience and untested.

If it's somebody like Zidane, Klopp, Guardiola as manager, top players might still consider playing for them even without UCL. But OGS? No thanks.

OGS is just a younger version of Roy Hodgson. God mode in a fisherman's version of a fisherman's league but where it matters he is clueless. Tactically clueless and man management clueless. His record when he was a caretaker manager is more to the senior players punching above their weight and trying to show that the sacking of Mourinho is justified.

It does not matter. Currently, in Manchester, only 1 club matters to LFC.

I dunno why but I feel hopeful towards Barca at camp nou the same way Liv makes the trip to allianz arena.

We have shown the ability to shutdown lewandolski, the pacy bhappe, marega to some extent (we were too comfortable). This team has shown exceptional ability in cutting off supply to the main man.
However, Messi has shown true coordination and psychic understanding with his midfielders.

I don't expect valverde to deviate much from his plan to make Messi the main man. Hence, man-marking of busquet and raki will be of utmost importance. This is where the midfield trio of henderson, keita, fabinho will be important in the first 30mins.

Barca usually starts slow and builds momentum thereafter, hence it is imperative to start fast from the beginning with Henderson and keita supporting the forwards.
In 2nd half, that's where we stop Barca momentum and stabilise the midfield with Gini and Milner to sub keita and one other.

Matip to mark Messi and vvd to hold the backline as usual.

But of course, Barca will be expected to dominate possession but it's not a problem to Liv at the start coz Barca builds momentum gradually. Liv controls space and not possession. Let's hope they play a high defensive line because this is where the long range accuracy of vvd, Robertson, Alison and taa come into play supplying forward pass to the front 3. Let's hope barca's defense aren't as pacy...I'm not sure about this though.
