Let us imagine, Ole as a manager till the end of the season and he keep United playing attacking football and last minute goals....etc. finish top 4 at the end of the season and CL in the semi-final.

But have to leave when season end, new manager come in, play park bus etc...players not performing...how would you guy feel.

Historically, no club ever overcome a gap bigger than 5 points from top 4 at this point of time in league, to reach top 4 at the end of the league.

Luke still out, mayreturn
Alexis still out
Smalling out
McTominay out
Lukaku compassionate leave

My guess.

If Ole is feeling adventurous:
-----------------------DDG---------------------------
Dalot-------Bailly-------Linderof------Young
----------------------Herrera-----------------------
----------------Fred---------Pogba----------------
Mata---------------Rashford-----------Martial

If Ole wanna be more cautious:
-----------------------DDG---------------------------
Valencia-------Bailly-------Linderof------Young
---------------- -Herrera---Matic-----------------------
Lingard---------- ----Pogba----------------Martial
-----------------------Rashford---------------------------

Attackers department is getting thin, so 1 of Lingard or Mata will be on bench, I think Ole will bring along Tahith Chong as well.

I think TOP 4 is beyond us we are so bad 11 points is a lot to make up and we have no chance if we don’t beat the teams above us

we will see for the next few months if it is really just that easy job, only to unshackle

No Utd job is ever easy. Only thing JM made things more difficult for himself by being more difficult to everyone and stepping on everybody's toes instead of continuing the good work he has done with the team on the pitch in the past 2 seasons.

I mean mou is wad type of manager we know from the very beginning

Chelsea , Inter , Real

His style was always more defensive and organised oriented

Even when he just arrived we knew exactly how he will setup his team

Just unfortunate he didnt get the backing he needs

He would have gotten the backing if the team he sets up didn't lose to Sevilla at home in such a woeful manner playing defensively or the FA Cup final. Getting Sanchez was the biggest mistake as the ripple down effect affected many players without helping improve our attack (made it worse actually).

this feel good reaction from fans is what Ed was banging on when he appointed Ole

The feel good reaction is for the players as well. It's good to start feeling good isn't it unless you already miss our doom and gloom days and look forward to watch boring negative football and hearing JM's excuses week in week out as all we were hoping for not to lose even against weak teams.

Why did he sign sanchez ? He needs a winger to improve our front 3 but couldnt get Perisic so he went for Sanchez

Is Sanchez not better then Lingard , Rashford , Martial ?

On hingsight u can say its not working out and not a good signing, but when we actually signed Sanchez did anyone complained? :s22:

Lingard and Martial just way too inconsistent IMHO , Rashford still needs time

Agree Sanchez looked like a good signing, but what we failed to see was that he couldn’t really play on the right. So our whole team is still 1 right winger short and have another left sided player fighting for the same spot on the left. A double whammy.

It is hypothetical saying that United reach the top 4.

Need to check last time under SAF, under how many point behind and catch up to reach the last 4.:)

PS. If Ole fail to win any game mean it is not the manager but the players fault.

They are inconsistent as they are still young. But they were still doing pretty well in the first half of the season.

AS on the other hand hasn't been playing much. Coming from a completely opposite system, it's bound to affect him playing in a defensive setup. This just proves even if you've already adjusted to the standards of English football, if the system is different, you may not be able to perform to your usual standards. And coming at such a late age, time is not on his side as he was supposed to be at his peak.

I wasn't that happy about the transfer as we were not only swapping for an older player, but the move was seen more to block another team(City) from getting him. Not to mention his wages which affected the rest of the players.

Hopefully he will start performing back in OGS attacking style and show us he is worth it.

With Dalot, if he gets a good run n be consistent, we have an overlapping fullback that can cover Mata or AP (AP too much flair to be a 6) who will play on the right wing as inverted winger.

Like how Giggs of old and Ole played on the wings, drag the speedier and more agile full back inside and expose the LCB or RCB against our speedier full back. If the opposition don't follow then shot or put in a good ball.

Pogba can do on the other flank as he is better two footed compared to Herrera.

Honestly from the interview Ole appears to keep stressing we are United, people study us, not we study them. Make people worry abt us not us go worry about them. I like this.

Win Cardiff and the next with games with 2 or more goals, get more midfielders to cheap in the goal.

It's Cardiff lads!
