Situation will only get worst and euro will be postponed
There will be no champions afterall
how you know?? maybe next month they find a cure to this virus or contain it.

anyway pool will definitely be crowned champions even if this season is void.

I have a solution.
Implement a play-off

Champions Play Off = Top 6 Clubs (Winners will be Champions, the others determined their placing for CL/Europa)
Relegation Play Off = Bottom 6 Clubs (3 slots to Championship)

Settle.
in my opinion pool should be crowned champion since they earned it. they are only short of 6 points. the other teams will do playoff to determine ucl, europa and relegation since the points are quite close.

a solution that involves playing of matches?
the middle 8 also want to improve their league standing, each position gets different amount of tv money.

Actually why can’t they just void this season but bring forward all the points earned of every club now to the start of next season? Does that solves all the headaches?
Actually this is a good idea, if a little unconventional. I don't see how the season can continue, at the rate things are going in Europe. The rescheduling is just a wait-and-see, in the unlikely event that things improve.

Why am I not surprised Spurs under JM is one of those who want to void the season? It will certainly help write off his miserable start at the club

he knows he took charge of them when in 14th place in Nov. not a full season.
top 4-5 still within reach like many others in front of him. hardly miserable.

Hopefully this period of downtime, Ed is not too busy scratching his balls and he is rolling up his sleeves to work in Sancho and Grealish deal.

They have nothing to play for except TOP 4 hardly great for Jose when he was brought in to take spurs to greater height than Poch.

it will take a miracle pill for a manager to come in mid seasion, team in 14th, to go greater heights than where Poch used to end.
but this kind of ridiculous expectation is usual coming from fans.

if given a full season and reasonable investment, can say its not acceptable.

I guess if this happens, Utd fan will be very happy

A leading sports lawyer believes that the Premier League season will have to be cancelled if it is unable to resume within the next few weeks.

Richard Cramer suggests that any further disruption to the football calendar would likely mean that the top-flight campaign is controversially scrapped.

Premier League clubs are set to hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss their potential next steps, with the future of the sport in jeopardy amid the ongoing health crisis.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Cramer said: 'Forget the games going in the beginning of April, I think we should be alright.

'But if we go through to May or June then I think it's almost inevitable that, it's almost the equivalent of what happened in the world wars, the season just has to be cancelled.

'Then we start all over again, which is obviously devastating for the likes of Leeds United and West Brom, both those clubs are on the verge of promotion.

'It's not a great thought, but they'll just have to abide by what the majority say and what decision is made by the board of directors.'

Premier League need 14-club majority to void season and stop Liverpool winning title… but who would back the axe?

LIVERPOOL could be denied their first league title in 30 years if 14 Premier League clubs agree to axe the season.

The English top-flight has been suspended until April 4 at the earliest due to the global outbreak of coronavirus.

Premier League chiefs are set to hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss plans for the end of the season.

As it stands, Jurgen Klopp's side sit 25 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the pile after 29 matches.

But Liverpool's fate could lie in the hands of the other 19 teams in the league.

Premier League chiefs could be forced to call on a majority decision if this season cannot be continued as planned.

For a rule to be imposed, the Evening Standard claim 14 of the 20 clubs in the league will have agree on a decision.

One option would be to end the season as it stands - which is an idea that will most certainly have Liverpool's support.

Another idea would be to host a play-off competition, while others have claimed the season should be void.

SunSport columnist Karren Brady insisted the Premier League season must be ruled null and void if the players cannot play again.
