hi all,

will be spending a few days at amsterdam as im flying off from there. will be in antwerp before going to amsterdam. thinking of 2 or 3 days. not sure.

1. how many days do i need to visit amsterdam/ netherlands.
2. where should i go.
3. where should i stay? safe and cheap.
4. general tips.
5. scrap the above and spend time at antwerp/ belgium instead?

There are day-trip possibilities from Antwerp- Bruges, Brussels, Ghent.
At Amsterdam, I signed up for the touristic windmills day tour which took us far out to the poulders on the North Sea coast. Quite educational.

Recommend to rent a bike from their NS train station called OV-fiets for 3.85/24hrs. Just cycle every where for the full Dutch experience.

If you have a few person to share a boat, rent the 95 euro per 2hrs Mokumboot and sail it yourself. Quite an unique experience.
