Pound Exchange Rate

Anyone knows what is the exchange rate for today? Saw it was as high as 1.99 yesterday at a random money changer.

Saw the moneychanger's rate at Woodlands mrt was 1.988 while the moneychanger at Causeway Point B1 was 1.966 near 4pm.

Waiting to change both Pound and Euro for my trip in Sept. Euro is 1.53 at the moment.

The best is now at 1.90.

But some are starting to show no stocks!

No one can really answer this question. It was 1.99 in the morning and now become 1.85.

I don't think it will drop furthermore. U can change bit by bit to play safe rather than 1 lump sum.

I also Goin to visit uk this Oct and I already changed at 500 pound at 1.95 2 months ago. That time I thought that was quite low since pounds has been stable at 2. So this brexit made me lose a bit but I won't lose sleep for it.

I went to Japan in Feb this year and I got a 118 rate and sell back at 124. Now u see it rise to 133 due to this. U never know.

Some are. I went at about 2:30pm and queues everywhere for the shops still open, and many selling out of GBP. The store doing 1.915 had a queue of at least 30 people with only 1 person working the counter. They ran out of GBP and updated their display but I bet a lot of people in the queue didn't notice this.

Next door had queue of about 6 people for 1.92.

Other stores sold out or much higher (quite a few 1.95/2/2.05).

Even saw a journalist asking random people their views.

Pound already recovered, waiting for second wave of sell off of GBP, tends to happen whenever you get a shock like this, before it stabilizes.
