Hi I'm looking to get a pair of specs made

- lazy eye, both eyes day vision acceptable
- right eye vision close to perfect
- left eye vision is around 600 I think
- night vision is horrible, can't sleep bus numbers further than one bus length away properly (only started this year)
- in light conditions such as the bus numbers in boon lay bus interchange also cannot be read properly at approximately one bus length away (only started this year)
- spends majority of in front of the computer so looking to get a good blue light protection
- left ear smaller than my right ear so normal specs tilt unless some kind of adjustment is made

I've read a few pages on this thread and I think I should be getting
- a tokai lutina lens 1.6 and 1.7 index
- a Ray Bans RB6378 frame

Would like some advice please

Off the shelf types are considered readers. The lenses used are usually made of acrylic and are way inferior in optics compared to custom made (Opthalmic) lenses. Usually good for up to 15 mins use to do a quick reading.

Custom made ones are prescribed according to your eye's degree and usually are more comfortable as the material used is better and takes into consideration your eye pupil distance.
Thanks so much for sharing!

When you mentioned Super slow, exactly how slow is the difference?
A few seconds? 10 or more seconds ?

You might want to check out Visio Optical. Not sure if they do this but they do repairs and frame repaints.

The competing products are Zeiss photofusion, Hoya sensity, and essilor transitions

The main factors to look at are the depth of tint when activated by light, colours that are available such as brown, gray or grey-green, rate at which the tint darkens outdoors, and fades indoors, which is different. Traditionally, photochromic lens do not tint in the car, or under bright fluorescent lights, but some manufacturers have come out with certain photochromic lens that may tint a little under these conditions. These still won't tint under led lights.

Photochromic lens from the same brand have different versions (generation) and types. Something bought ten years ago is different from one bought today.
What I know is among Transition, Sensity, and Photofusion the former darken faster and the latter slower. Sensity tint the darkest while Photofusion is the lightest comparatively.

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on where I can get Zeiss 1.74 lens and a trendy frame at a competitive price for my partner. She's around 600 degrees myopia (layman terms, sorry I'm not proficient with the lingo) with about 100 degrees astigmatism - I hope I got the terms correct.

Would appreciate if opticians here or satisfied customers can let me know how much to expect or optometrist places we could check out. Much thanks!

hi guys

during enlistment for NS i went for zeiss stratch resistance lense but eventually still scratch inside tekong

ever since then have nvr really believe/tried out "premium" lense anymore

after working a few year now, i am thinking of making my first spect using premium lense
so far in my life always using normal lense,

i do not know where to start.
so far comb a few page into this thread, seem to me like hoya and zeiss are the top contender?

i am mainly short sight on one eye and astigmatism heavy on another
