Hi all,

Is the Seiko 5 Sports SRPD models a reliable watch? This is my first automatic watch and I wonder if it is worth buying an automatic watch if I don't wear it daily (maybe 3 times a week) and don't have a watch winder box. Will the mechanism deteriorate faster if it runs out of power frequently?

Thanks for the replies!

Is the Seiko 5 Sports SRPD models a reliable watch? -> Yes

This is my first automatic watch and I wonder if it is worth buying an automatic watch if I don't wear it daily (maybe 3 times a week) and don't have a watch winder box. Will the mechanism deteriorate faster if it runs out of power frequently? -> Watch winder is said to make the mechanism deteriorate faster. Nothing will happen if it runs out of power frequently, just wind it up, adjust the time and you are good to go.

Offering another perspective on watch winders -- the concern is overwinding -- no one discourages the wearing of an automatic watch due to concerns of the mechanism deteriorating.

For the convenience of having a watch winder, it is important to get a quality winder with suitable settings, such as adjustable Turns Per Day (TPD), and direction (CW or CCW or alternating). Some only operate during daylight hours, and let the watch run down in the evenings.

Set the watch winder to the lowest wind setting, and increase if the watch can't maintain its wind state.

(Perpetual calendars from certain brands come with a winder; you can trust that those movements (or derived) can take years in a winder.)

Have you tried the cheaper "chiong" version ? Those selling at carousell? Some say feels the same, and don't wanna pay so much for Rubber.

Tissot T-One Classic - anti-reflective coating

Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get anti-reflective coating for my Tissot Classic T-One?
Preferably from the inside, not the outside.
And how much roughly?
Thanks.

If i m not wrong.. Everest & Rubber B straps need not be removed when send to RSC for servicing.. Chiong brands RSC wont take in so u need to change back to ur original bracelet before sending them in..
