Thinking of getting the black version as well. I wonder why these pieces didn't get as much attention as the Q.

[Edit - I ended up ordering the black version after admiring this for most of today]

U if donít care to read the below, generally bigger numbers means better lol
https://timeandtidewatches.com/in-de...e-mechanicals/
what a good shortcut

given that it's GS, i guess both are equally as lasting ?

Hi beat generally better
Auto is common, hi beat takes more engineering
hi beat reserve is 55 hours

the auto model i looking at seems to have slow gradual appreciation whereas hi-beat only retain the values

cant go wrong with both so to me they are equally good. I like the longer PR of the 221 and the gorgeous cream dial.

This is understandable as hi beat takes more energy to run as compared to a lower beat movement, so if the mainspring used for both is the same, the PR will be lower for hi beat

GS for appreciation??
I will take the hi beat over the auto any day if all else being equal.

One of 2 microbrand pieces that's stayed in my collection after recent culling - think over the years I've realised that while I think Zelos is a great brand and Elshan is one of the nicest people in the industry, the designs just do not hold my interest over time. They're just not as "timeless".
