You got a good price for your Yanko. EEA and LLYR can be gotten for sub-200?

Ok should have make it clearer, sub-200 for those on markdowns. Which is quite often for LLYR and EEA

Agree that it's quite an advantage to be able to try. If Quarters cannot offer you opportunity to try, may not be worth the risk.
heard from them that they are bringing in some shoes for people to try before ordering

Yes saw them on FB/IG and they are here as well.

I have personally no experience with CS and they seem to be popular on SF due to skoaktiebolaget being very active on SF. There are quite few bros here own CS who can comment on the quality.

For me and not trying to sound like a SB fanboy, if I have a choice I would want to try my shoes first if is a last I am not familiar with. SB offers both Yanko and Enzo.

Based on quality this is my experience
LLYR < Yanko GYW < Corno Blu GYW / Enzo < Meccariello Argentum
I see. Yes, that was one of the reason the brand caught my attention too. No worries about that, bro. Anyway, thank you for your kind sharing and help too! Look forward to learning from everyone here regarding shoes!

Definitely going to drop by to check out their range too!

Noob question here.
I keep getting a white spots on shoes when im polishing it. But it doesnt happen all the time.
Using light brown saphir wax on the shoe.

Eg. The shoe on the left looks ok but shoe on the right has this film.

Is it too much wax, technique, or i need a darker wax?
And when it happens, need to strip off the cream and wax and start over? Or still can remedy?

Anyone has any experience on yanko monk in 915 last?

Tried it in SB and was surprised with its quality but didn't want to commit on any impulse buys.

I own an ed et al and CS in 389 last (quite a narrow fit for myself). How does yanko compare against those shoes in term of build quality wise?

At that price point, it's a bit difficult to be honest. Unless you are willing to look at the second hand market.

Yanko has very nice shoes. Price point is pretty competitive as well. The 915 is a fantastic last and I like it a lot.

Stretch your budget to around $270 to $300 for EEA or CNES for GYW shoes. I don't think there is any non-cemented (ie. GYW) below $200. Not sure about Blake stitch though

Was wondering about brands like Aldo, Pedro etc

I know for a fact that a lot of people complain that Pedro just isnt cutting it
Not sure about Aldo on the other hand, or even Zara

Blake Stitch seems to be fine so as long they are done properly as compared to cemented?
