we sucked in this game. but it is the mark of true champions to win despite playing poorly. hopefully we can continue to pick up three points against this sort of team.

probably no Seedorf to rest him for Siena on wednesday. another similar match. we drew with Siena 1-1 away last season and beat them 1-0 at home with Paloschi's debut goal.

MILAN-SIENA: CALLED UP ROSSONERI
10/28/2008

MILANELLO - Here are the 18 called up players of Carlo Ancelotti for Milan-Siena:

GOALKEEPERS: Abbiati, Dida
DEFENDERS: Antonini, Bonera, Darmian, Favalli, Maldini, Zambrotta,
MIDFIELDERS: Ambrosini, Cardacio, Emerson, Gattuso,
FORWARDS: Borriello, Inzaghi, Kakà, Pato, Seedorf, Shevchenko.

Unavailable: Kaladze, Nesta, Senderos, Flamini, Pirlo, Ronaldinho, Viudez.
Suspended: Jankulovski.

---

I want to see Cardacio play! but I guess Emerson and Gattuso will get the nod. Ambrosini looks like he needs some rest. so far we don't have any players a card away from suspension, but i hope the relevant players get maximum 45 minutes of game time before Napoli's visit on Sunday.

we should win comfortably against Siena if we are really title contenders. they have Curci suspended and their second choice keeper injured, therefore if we can get the shots in right, their third choice may not have much chance to save.

MILAN: Abbiati; Antonini, Bonera, Favalli, Zambrotta; Gattuso, Emerson, Seedorf; Kakà; Inzaghi, Pato
SIENA: Manitta; Rossettini, Zuniga, Portanova, Del Grosso; Vergassola, Codrea, Jarolim; Kharja; Ghezzal, Frickilan and Siena

---

good game. there were some nervous moments, but we held out till the end. Antonini and Emerson are playing very well.

we should take a look at Daniele Galloppa, who made his Siena debut against us last season. he's pretty good. can hold the ball well, can shoot with his weaker foot (right), nice curling free kicks.

Galloppa is a former Roma player if i am not wrong...

this weekend game would be interesting...napoli...as long as we keep our defence tight, we should have no problem as they like to attack...

Milan shop in South America

Milan scout Serginho has brought two young South American defenders to the attention of Adriano Galliani and Ariedo Braida.

The former Rossoneri left-back believes Ezequiel Munoz of Boca Juniors and Joao Miranda de Souza Filho have what it takes to succeed at San Siro.

Munoz, 18, is a strong centre-back with real aerial prowess who was recently called up to the Argentina Under-20 squad.

Meanwhile, Filho is 24 and has made his name at Sao Paulo where he marshals the back line to superb effect.

Braida is said to be keen on both of them, but awaits further reports before advising Galliani to draw up a bid in January.

Milan are also interested in making Philippe Senderos' loan from Arsenal permanent and feel Roma could be tempted to part with Philippe Mexes.

Official...

Milan have announced that David Beckham will join the club on loan on January 7 after negotiations with the 33-year-old's representatives.

The deal will see the England international spend two months at San Siro before returning to Los Angeles Galaxy in March ahead of the MLS season.

Sporting director Umberto Gandini confirmed the contract was open-ended but expects Beckham to return to the US after two months.

"He is committed to Los Angeles Galaxy and the MLS and he thanks them for the opportunity to train with us."

"Only David knows his future, but he has a commitment to LA Galaxy and I think he will respect that."

Players called up...

GKs: Abbiati, Dida,

Defenders: Antonini, Bonera, Favalli, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Senderos, Zambrotta,

Midfielders: Ambrosini, Emerson, Flamini, Gattuso,

Attackers: Borriello, Inzaghi, Kakà, Pato, Seedorf, Shevchenko, Ronaldinho.

I am pretty worried about the partnership in central defence. Both Senderos and Kaladze just recovered from injuries...i would go with Kaladze as Senderos could be quite clumsy as we are playing a pacy team. And once again still no Nesta...i hope he is really ok...

wahaha at least got Senderos back.. hope he will make his competitive debut soon and not prove to be a rubbish loan. i'll go with Kaladze too, cause he is after all one of our veterans and he will know how to pair up with Bonera.

top again.. but Napoli stretched us to the very last minute.. highly entertaining stuff.

hope to see Napoli flying the Italian flag in the CL next season.

Kaladze has returned and is looking good from the 15-20 minutes he had on the field.
