thx Marcus for answering.
1. Quality is main concern for me so i want my 3000 bucks worth, is it made and assembled in China?
Made in China (like practically all PC chassis these days), assembled in Serangoon. If I'm not wrong Clevo's factory is in Kunshan or somewhere in China. Like all custom notebook builders, Aftershock buys the barebones from Clevo, the other components like CPUs and HDD from respective vendors, then assembles in-house.

thx Marcus for answering.
2. what material used in Aftershock notebook? anordized aluminum?
Plastic chassis, with some variations. X15 and Titan have rubberised lid and palmrest. On X17 instead of rubber its brushed aluminium. I might be wrong but the Razer Blade is probably the only gaming notebook currently in existence to be made purely of anodised aluminium. Alienware used to do it too but not in current models.

Upcomming Benchmark Videos and VGA card analysis

We've recieved quite a few requests for vga performance analysis for Crysis 3 (beta) and Tera Online. Just to kick things off, heres a performance video of the Titan with 7970m crossfired on crysis 3.

We also tried this with 680m SLI, and found that SLI produces better numbers for crysis 3. (TWIMTBP game)

Just out of curiosity, do you have a version that ships with only the onboard Intel HD graphics?

Considering purchasing a X15 in a couple months time before I leave for university. Played around with the customization options on Aftershock's website.

I would just like to enquire what's the rough equivalent for the GTX680M compared towards a desktop graphic card?

I understand that the laptop graphic cards can never perform better than their desktop counterparts but I would just like to know how the best card offered on Aftershock performs/compares toward a desktop card.

Currently using a GTX560 Ti on my desktop.

Hi Kogarasumaru ,

In general, notebook cards are usually physically different from their similiar named desktop counterpart.

Differences in performance vary from application to application, but a notebook 680m's performace lies between a desktop 570 and 580. (Do note however that the 680m is based on kepler architecture, not fermi.) Typically, top end notebook GPUs perform at the level of the mid-high end desktop gaming solutions.

Cards like the 680m and 7970m are able to power the most demanding games like battlefield 3 at FHD ultra.

For a more accurate idea , you can check out this page:

Computer Games on Laptop Graphic Cards - NotebookCheck.net Tech

There is a very large gap between the 100W flag ship cards (680m and 7970m) and everything else below them.

Thanks for the quick clarification. Guess I will be dropping by your shop in another 2-3 months time to purchase the X15.

Managed to get a pic of the aftershock booth

It was still pretty early when I dropped by so they were still setting up. Think XM17 with the bundled Crysis 3 is gonna sell like hotcakes.
