Consider the brand Aftershock. They have one of the best gaming laptops available around your budget.

You can consider the MX or P Series. These should be within your budget.

First you have to decide what type of game you intend to play

broadly speaking there is the not so demanding stuff like CS:GO, dota and overwatch, and then you have your Witcher 3 or those high demanding titles

2.5k you should be able to at least get one of the aftershock machines that have a gtx 1060. The only other thing that will really up the price tag is the size of the SSD you want to have.

if simply going by the best possible aftershock within your 2.5k budget, the MX series would be it

you cant change laptop graphics cards and processors unlike desktops where you can plug and play, so get a laptop with good graphics card and cpu that can last. rams ssd hdd can be upgraded easily so it all comes down to the laptop CPU & GPU.....

Yes, you can get a gaming laptop for around $2.5K. Besides the type of games you are playing, you will also need to consider whether portability is important. Do you need to bring outside for work or school? If yes, then you will need to consider the laptop's weight and the display size.

I don't mind heavy or big size.
Normally at home, if wan bring out also no problem.
But don't really wish to spend too much on gaming spec.
Usually piak CS, dota, diablo similar spec will do..

Any recommendation? Below $2k, then $1.5k?

If you intend for your machine to last at least a few years, don't save on the parts that can't be upgraded like GFX card and CPU.

2k is a good price for a decent laptop to game on in my opinion.

Currently looking at MSI GS73VR-7RG-Stealth-Pro...is it out in Singapore already?

Is there a better alternative to the above, assuming the key specs I am looking for is:

- slimness (The MSI is around 2cm thick)
- GTX 1070
- 17.3" display

Hope to your views!
