The general rule is that if type of panel not stated, then in all probability it will be a TN panel.

Best to check out at an expo in person since it depends on build/manufacture date.

Just noticed that Dell has updated their Inspiron 15 7000 model to have GTX1060 + thunderbolt 3 + IPS panel. Thunderbolt 3 means you can upgrade the GPU with eGPU in future. Not only that the price is slightly higher if not almost the same as my Aftershock MX15 Elite (1050Ti) bought last month

Sure, budget laptop is budget laptop. I still have my powerful desktop and only use laptop as backup or when travelling, but still feeling a bit sad that i should have waited a bit longer for GTX1060 models to become more affordable.

its going to be like 2.5k when it comes to singapore. how is it even close to a mx15?

Also, u can get lenovo y520s with gtx 1060 for 1k usd. why ever consider the dell? it has worse cooling, higher temps and a similar panel.

Its a 1060 MAXQ FYI, so expect a slightly better performance than a 1050ti only. Dell isn't stupid enough to put a full 1060 on a budget performance line and wreck their alienware series lol.

Also i think currently the price is 2.2k sgd? But the fact that it has thunderbolt 3 got me sitting up immediately. For that pricepoint those specs actually beat whatever Aftershock can offer.
