My LG G3 cannot detect my sim card and can confirm it's not the sim card problem as i have tested on another spare phone and it works fine. Anyone have any idea if i go to service center repair, will they quote the repair costs before repair? My g3 warrenty have already expired.

if sim tray spoil, about $20 for repair, excluding labour.

I believe reading in an earlier post that the batteries sold by the service ctr does not come with warranty - so basically if it dies 1 month down the road, it is not covered.

However having said that, you can call them / head down to clarify :zotto:

Seeing the battery issue and also the firmware glitch I'm experiencing, most likely this is my first and last LG phone. Had used 2 Samsung but didn't like the bloatware. Now I think bloat is still better than not working properly. Anyway will try something with stock (or close to stock) Android in the future seeing my cheapest tablet with almost stock Android can perform on par with this once a flagship phone.

Can I find out from you if it's possible to fully unroot with no telltale signs that it was rooted before? I just took over this phone after using HTC so I'm not familiar.

Sent from LGE LG-D855 using GAGT

I am experiencing boot loop. At first this happens when my battery is lower than 30%.

Then now this boot loop occurs all the time. And i have to continually charge it to just use the phone.

Im using the latest official version. Unrooted.

So is this a hardware (battery) problem or a firmware issue?

Nexus :)
Bloat on Touchwiz has dropped significantly too.

Looks to be a battery issue.
Does it run fine plugged in without batt?

yes. when it is plugged in, it is fine.

but i realise this boot loop nonsense only started to slowly surface after i updated the phone to the latest firmware version OTA.
