Recently had my eye on the Batman and can't seem to get my mind off it. Damn!

Cool Moonwatch. I think I saw your query on sgroc yesterday. 😊

Yes bro, spend last night reading. Seems like a worthy watch!

Size of the box and the various accessories relative to the watch.

40mm Gmt for comparison, realized the lug of the speedy is much longer than most of my watch who are usually shorter and fatter

no more battery leaks = maintenance fee

solar quartz watches are the future for the masses!

not difficult to get ample daylight even if not direct sunlight in singapore. the technology has come a long way since the 80's brother. my 2015 citizen solar can connect to gps satellite to update the time, i leave it on my dresser and it has 1.5 YEARS of battery charge in it every time i check.

I think what he meant was it's still battery operated and will soon conk out after a few years as battery itself has a life time. Replacement of battery may cause slight abit to replace.

It's true. Depending on the battery, if you keep charging it (not sure the tech has a way to stop overcharging, cutting off power to the battery once it's full), battery will still spoil easily. As compared to normal quartz where non rechargeable battery is left running thru out its lifespan.

Except that it's not a battery, it's a capacitor that holds charge, and in its very low voltage application will outlast the mechanisms it's hooked up to.
