Just came back from Taiwan a couple of days back and did a last minute booking for Chen Wei Hao（可乐) for the usual Jiufen, Shifen, Ye Liu day trip.

Didn't had much time to plan so just picked him out randomly from this thread, but fortunately no regrets in doing so, me and my wife were quite satisfied with his services to the extent that we booked him for another day for our Yang Ming Shan, hot spring and danshui trip which we initially wanted to do free and easy.

First time trying out this kind of private tour guide style, but I will say it's really good since we have full control over the places we wanted to go. Activities were spontaneous in that if there were any spots to see along the way, we can just ask him to stop or bring us there. If we changed our mind on the iternary, can just work out with him also.

Putting in a good word for him here as thanks since he had put in good effort to make our trip great.

Can i know how was his service ? Good ? Intend to find drivers able to send us to and fro from taipei to airport. Seem like the price he quoted to me is quite ok for me which he mention to and fro is NT1600 ...

Just came back from Taiwan. Had also engaged 可乐 for 2 day-trips - one for the Jiufen, Shifen, Ye Liu and one for Yangmingshan, Hot spring and Danshui.

Same as below, me and my girlfriend were very satisfied with his services. He was very enthusiastic and was always very willing to help us take photos. Very flexible and patient as well if we wanted to stay at any place for longer or change our itinerary halfway. Compared to another driver we hired in Hualien who was very conscious of time, 可乐 had no issues if we exceeded the time quoted (believe we went more than 10 hours for the first day and he did not charge any additional fare).

Before going over to Taiwan, we already decided that we wanted to attend the Pingxi Lantern Festival on the last day of Chinese New Year. After contacting 可乐, we found out that there was strict control on cars (road closures) throughout the day but he made sure to factor that in and adjusted the itinerary accordingly - such that he brought us to Shifen early in the morning (to avoid the road closure) and then dropped us off at Pingxi in the evening where we could take a shuttle bus to where the Festival was held.

So overall, we felt that he's a great guy who really wants to make the day trips enjoyable and memorable for his customers and would recommend him to anyone who's visiting Taiwan.

Hi everyone,

I have booked this young driver (Simon) from Taichung for 2 times and last year and the year before and he did not disappoint. You can find my reviews for him in my old posts.

Overall, i find him to be really friendly and polite, and he helped us alot with our itinerary(even though i was typing in english). His car is a 7 seater and was very clean and comfortable both times I went. He gave us great food and shopping recommendations and even helped us contact minsu owners to ensure a smooth check-in. From what i learnt, his mom and dad are also in the business so he has gained some of the knowledge from them. His rates were very reasonable at 4500-5000twd/day depending distance (i toured taichung-hualien-taipei and taichung-alishan-tainan-gaoxiong) and my mom enjoyed his company very much.

Hi, I just came back from Taiwan on 16 March 2016, used 2 drivers:
1) From Taoyuan international Airport to Juifen : +886 915 619 969

2) From Juifen to Taipei, then on the last day from Taipei hotel to Taoyuan Airport : +886989835979 可樂 (can Whatsapp him)

可乐 likes his job, he is a tour guide and driver, makes an effort to create an enjoyable trip for us and himself helps us take photos and keeps his energy levels up throughout the trip. Reliable and has a team of drivers working under him, can do round trips around Taiwan. He charged us (2 persons) TWD$4000 from Juifen to Taipei, visiting attractions along the way (10hrs). TWD $1000 for Taipei to Taoyuan Airport.
Thanks to the other users in this forum who recommended 可乐 and 阿豪，they are both safe and great drivers who let us had a worry free trip

would be better to recommend two different drivers ...
cox if u use one driver, u might need to pay for their accomodations also ..
is also very tiring for the drivers to drive to many places too

Sound reasonable.
My cousin recently just engaged this driver who I recommended to him
4th May to 12th May - 9 seater car include airport pick up --> Taichung (2d), Cingjing (1d), Taipei (4d) and Yilan (1d) --> sending to airport.
whole trip cost him NT50,500 (they total 8ppl)

You can consider to get a driver for Taichung and Sun Moon Lake (Nantou) and another driver for 1 or 2 days (depends on your itinerary) in Taipei since Taipei is quite accessible by metro.

We had a 2 yr old child so we needed a patient driver and who can look after us. Bringing children is difficult because they can get really cranky and temperamental at times. And they can poo at odd times so we always had to change their diapers.

Mr Chen is really nice as he had the patience with our child. In fact, he liked our child alot and kept playing with him like an old grandfather. He even allowed us to change diapers in his car! Saved us alot of trouble.

Another point is that our trip has no stress in timing at all. We don't even need to tell Mr Chen how long we were going to take in each sightseeing point. 2hr/3hr everytime when we were done in each place, he would be there waiting for us.

Some people prefer drivers who can walk with them but to me this is not a big issue as we would prefer privacy as a family to enjoy too.

Overall, I will recommend Mr Chen if you like a relaxed, own time no stress holiday trip

I need recommendations for drivers that can take 5 adults and 2 children. I probably need a 9-seater since we will have luggage too.

overall very good experience with him . he explains to you every area we go past in the car or while walking. he walks with you in areas he could go. unlike other drivers will just drop you off and ask you to walk yourself. take photos for you and make video for your whole trip for you to look back to. would recommend to take him
