Hi guys I've just booked my ticket to HCM from 12 to 16 April. Any places that is a must visit? I'm interested in history, culture, local food and hanging out at bars when night falls. Also I do not need to hire a driver right? How much does a typical cab fare cost?? I'll be most likely renting a room from airbnb. Also do I change my money only when I reach their airport? Thnx :) :D

Bus 152 has been replaced by Bus 109:

The new bus seems better, and will run past midnight (instead of only until 6pm like the old bus), but costs slightly more: 20,000 VND (S$1.25)

It will go directly to the Pham Ngu Lao area.

change abit at airport for cab fare, then change the rest at ben thanh gold smith shop... cab fare? depend where you go is it within the district or far out it..... if within no traffic jam maybe 50-80k? i feel going hcm so long solo trip transport is the most expensive.... for example i try district 1 to district 7 just go see the star bridge , two ways around 20++.
Cheapers rent a bike if you dare, if not get to know locals so they will drive you around lol

Alright thnx for your advice! I'll be reaching the airport at 8am and the money changer there should be opened right? Oh and do they accept SGD? I'll be in HCM with 2 of my friends. And nope, I don't dare to ride over there lol

money charger accept sgd ...
better to print your hotel name in vietnam language if u can ...
just in case ... cox the ppl there english standard is not very good,
compared to bangkok :)

there are many changer at the arrival place ...
can change at the highest one ...

once clear chop passport, on the left got a money changer , a viet chio bu wearing ao dai, you cn go check it out ^^

Alright thnx! Oh and is a data sim card available at the airport too? Would like to use it for Google maps/uber/calls. Can't wait for my trip to HCM! :D
