Pls don't buy the hifi dac module from korea unless your lg g5 is F700K/L/S model as the dac is the AFD-1210 model.
If used with our H860 lg g5 it won't boot up. If you can get your hands on the AFD-1200 dac module than go ahead and buy it but my advise is just wait until May which hopefully by then be available in SG.

I am still wondering whether I should change to this G5 from my V10, I am more concern about battery life as V10 battery life is not good maybe due to the huge screen, is the G5 battery life good? (*I know that it is easy to carry spare batteries around, I am more concern of whether how long one battery can last, for example with heavy usage like taking photos and using map continuously when overseas). Any advise on the battery life? Thanks.

I doubt it will be better than LG V10.

if u concern about battery life, u can't choose LG.
Huawei mate 8 is what you need. That's a battery king, same phone size as your V10 but with bigger 6 inch screen due to slim bezel, also faster than V10 in phone usage.

That's what I was thinking, was looking through reviews though some people commented the battery life seems better but some says its as bad.

Oh, actually the camera and battery life are the priority for my case, I love LG's camera but the battery life is really that bad. Anyway, thanks for your advice, will take a look at tt huawei phone you mentioned :)

True, LG has never be good at battery life after the G2. The high res screen is probably the biggest battery drainer. The IPS display if changed to Amoled can still help if using dark/black base themes. Snapdragon CPU is fast but not that battery efficient compared to Exynos or Kirin processors. All in all, need hardware optimization which LG isnt strong at.

Another strong contender for great battery life is the S7E, I can get over 8hr SOT with 2 days standby. The Nexus 6p can do 6.5 to 7 SOT also just to name a few

The V10 is so new, why change to a new phone so soon?

Compared to the V10, the G5 has...
- inferior headphone audio
- inferior video recording (no 60FPS 1080p, no manual control for video)
- battery life that isnt even that much better (any improvement is marginal and came from the newer snapdragon efficiency)

Just thinking should I buy as I am able to recontract in may, but from your comparison, I think I shall just wait for the successor for V10 or maybe G6 then. :s13:

That's true, just like the one for lumia 1020. Ok, I guess I shall go telcos to try it out again before deciding. Thanks. :)

No pt changing to g5 when u have v10. Like what the previous post said. I want a great audio phone with a certain reasonable camera quality. Htc 10, v10 and s7 edge fits my bill.
