The Arcade: around 12.25 - 12.30 as of 12.30pm.

from Get4x, I see 12.18 at Bishan J8 & 12.21 at Arcade (both + - 0.01)

How accurate is Get4X anyway. Last week did a check agst the changer at Clementi Mall and there was a 0.04 difference btw app and shop. Shop rate was worse.

Their feature to reserve/confirm a rate with a changer is still not implemented yet.
For now, I am using as a guide, comparing with Bloomberg. From there, I think can get better rates at Arcade.

did u compare the specific Clementi shop rate in App (not the best rate in App) vs physical shop rate ?

Yup I was comparing that particular shop itself. So it was the Clementi Mall basement money changer as I use that one quite often for work trips where I just need small amounts of a couple of hundred max. I think it was last week where the app quoted 12.44 and the shop price listed 12.48.

Of course the app is not live update so to me that variance is rather acceptable. Just curious what is the trend overall - like are the shops updating frequently, etc. It's handy to have the app.

BOJ position may change with the next meeting. I don't think their export heavy industry can survive on a strong JPY rate.

Having said that.. BOJ can't do **** if the world's investors come in and start to pile money in safe haven JPY
