(Needs advise) Iphone 6 sensor not working.

I'm on iOS 9.3.1 using iPhone 6.

Recently I realized that which placing the phone on my ear on the line, screen does not blank/black out like it used to.

Ended up pressing so many random buttons while on the line.

Anyone know what went wrong? Some advised will be appreciated.

You meant doing a restore "hard reset" on my phone? I tried soft reset (pressing the home and power button together)

but it does not work. Quite reluctant to update my IOS to 9.3.2 as I heard reviews on it are quite bad.

Yes, hard reset, restore back to factory settings. Means everything is gone.
Do a back up on iTunes first before doing that.

I tried factory restore and update to latest IOS . But still the while making a call. The screen does not go blank when I place it on my ear.

Is there a manual way to check if the sensor is damage??
