AMD RX 480 Rivals R9 Nano, GTX 980 – Runs At 1266Mhz, ~60c Degrees & Draws ~100W

Now, let’s look at the performance numbers. Our source has provided us with performance figures for both the RX 480 4GB version and the RX 480 8GB version. The benchmark in question is 3DMark Firestrike Ultra 1.1. We have added our own GTX Titan X, GTX 980 OC, R9 390 OC & R9 Nano results for comparison. Our own Keith May conducted the testing with our newly acquired Intel i7 6800K six core Broadwell-E CPU. The RX 480 4GB & RX 480 8GB were benchmarked with an Intel Core i7 4960X six core Ivy Bridge-E CPU by the source.

So who is the next contender to lose to RX 480 :s11:

I think I'll get Sapphire over HIS... Because the HSF

And most likely avoid powercolor altogether

This time round, you might want to get a card with good build quality. Because you will be using this card for a long time. See how long 28nm lasted because people couldn't get the shrink working. And despite 28nm -> 20nm -> 14nm, in reality there was only one shrink from 28nm to 14nm and they took that long. The next shrink will take even longer. So RX 480 will be analogous to the HD7850 / HD7870 of the previous generation, lasting many generations and getting rebranded because it is still fast. And you will hate it if your HD7870 card spoilt now.

It's actually US$239 for the 8GB version. Which somehow still becomes SGD$399 because we're not a true Asian country so we can't math very well.

I really hope price will come down after a few months of release. Maybe Below $350 ? If not have to wait for GTX1060 to release.
