My PC just died today. Last night I was using it and all worked fine.

This morning I turned on my pc, the fans spinned for less than 1 sec and then the power went off. This kept repeating until I turned off the switch on the PSU.

Eliminated PSU problem because I went to tech dynamic and tested the psu.

I returned home and tried to power on with motherboard + ram + cpu only and I can power it up once. After assembling everything, I cannot turn it on again. So I slowly eliminate the components one by one. Remove hdd, remove gpu, remove ssd, etc.

Now even with motherboard ram and cpu only I have the same problem. I tried power on without ram, tried changing ram slots to no avail. I also removed cmos battery but still cannot power up.

Most likely motherboard died?

If your Asrock mobo is under warranty, bring to Avertek at Kallang for RMA.

I realised my box states that warranty is covered by asview tech. I googled and asview and avertek has the same address. So I should assume that avertek and asview is the same thing right?

I already changed the psu. As in I went to tech dynamic. They tested my psu no problem. But just to be sure, they passed me another aurum s psu. The problem still persist, but I can eliminate the possibility of psu problem.

Managed to RMA my board. Avertek gave me a refurbished board I think, because the white parts on the board looked yellowish. So far my computer managed to boot up, with the occasional weird behaviour like restart computer and the monitor cannot detect hdmi input on both the video card and onboard memory. Will continue to monitor.
