I notice most people are flying to NRT, why not fly to HND? It is closer to the city.

Yeah. Haneda is much better!
But not all airlines go to Haneda. And normally they might be more premium fares for good timing.

hi all, pondering which airline to book for my very last min trip to tokyo..

scoot ~$580 flybag
pros
- newer aircraft (787)
- cheaper overall
- not bad timing (0045 SIN-1045NRT)
cons
- transit in taipei
- no food

ANA ~ $728
pros:
- includes luggage and food in pricing already
cons:
- timing arrive NRT later (0600SIN - 1410NRT)
- heard bad seats review with regards to their recline
- older aircraft 777

thinking to stay in UENO or Asakusa area.. or are there any other areas to recommend for more convenient transport to n fro NRT airport?
thanks for advice!

Wow. Scoot is so expensive?! I flew SQ for all my trips to Japan. The cost for a round trip to Tokyo (Narita and Haneda) and Osaka is usually around $600+ (never above $700). If not for my last trip that I chose to fly in to Nagoya and out from Haneda, the cost was actually $590 all in for SG > HND > SG under Super Deals.

Ueno would be more convenient than Asakusa if you're coming down from Narita. Ikebukuro is another location for you to consider. There's a lot of hostels located in Asakusa though.

JAL is slightly cheaper but cheapest is SCOOT but timing and duration is not that good for me.:s22:

Just be sure ... TG website, u shld search booking via their Promotion link. If u search from the main page, u won't get the promo fares if available.

Just checked and apparently current promo must travel by 15 November. Guess the promo fares for December not out yet. Maybe I'll wait! Thanks!!

December usually no promo fares one since it's the school holiday period....from personal experience is that for December fare..try to book as early as possible since chances of promo is extremely small

I'm planning to go Fukuoka next year April. I did a search and the cheapest is Vietnam airline at $400 return. Should I wait a little or is this price good?

Definitely ANA.

Their 777 seat is much better than the 787 in my opinion. If you referring to the poor recline seat, guess you are talking the shell seat which they had it changed to the traditional reclining seat.

Just booked my mid-Dec trip to Fukuoka last night, $600+/pax flying Thai airways. One of lowest I've seen, considering it's a pretty decent airline.
P.S Booked through a travel booking site instead of Thai airways site directly

Thank you! Adjusted my dates by a day and I bought the $864 tickets to Sapporo via Thai airways. But got credit card rebate so eventually $821. Not too bad I think. I used Skyscanner to check but clicked on link for direct Thai airways purchase.

You can try Vietnam airlines, although there is a layover, the price really cheap. I got a return to Fukuoka in sakura season for $410

Hi All

Anyone took JAL or ANA for this route (SG > Tokyo > Osaka > Tokyo > SG) before? How much is the price range? My travel dates are around less then $900 per pax. Is it worth it?

In additional, any one tried this route before?
SG > Tokyo > Osaka > Seoul > SG
SG > Osaka > Tokyo > Seoul > SG
SG > Seoul > Osaka > Tokyo > SG
SG > Seoul > Tokyo > Osaka > SG

Anyone knows the average price for a flight from Seoul to Japan (Osaka/Tokyo) or vice versa? I see that the price is almost $400+ even if I book multi-cities trip or separately.. Seems to be very expensive for me..

Thanks in advance! :s13:

$900 is not the cheapest for JAL and ANA. but it depends on when u are travelling. if it is peak period such as school holidays, then cant be help coz usually no promotions.

open jawed tickets are usually expensive, especially since urs is to 2 different countries. maybe u can consider taking budget flight between japan and seoul? e.g. peach airline from osaka.
or u can try checking cathay pacific and malaysia airline coz they are usually cheaper
