Wah lau, that is super xiong project leh.

Quite so... took a few tries to make it work. But I like to work on miniature models when I was a kid, so that helps...

Loving how I get two sims and 1 sd card.. this is like my media consumption device, and I've left my iPad sitting around.

I am using 128GB with FAT32.. no issues except the fact that you can't save files which are larger than 4GB.

I've also modified my nano SIM, and stuck it on my microSD, so now I have 2 sims and one SD Card..

I was doing this yesterday also.. I took the chip out easily but I can't slot the SD and Sim after sticking then together man.. I sand the Sim and SD card also cannot.. Any advice? 😊

Did you pull out the entire metal piece from the SIM?

If yes, after removing, you'll still need to heat it up to remove as much glue as possible from the back of the metal portion. I put the SIM on a spoon and used a lighter. You could do a more controlled job, by using a heat gun.

Next, take a razor/pen-knife, put it at an incline, and start scraping off the glue. Takes a good 10-15 minutes, to carefully do so. The end result will be a wafer thin SIM, with a small protrusion at the centre of it.

Next, use a very thin double side tape and align it on the MicroSD (i didn't need to sand my MicroSD card) then put a small drop of superglue and spread it out like kaya on bread, after which, align your SIM onto the SD card.

Do note that there is increased resistance when slotting the SIM tray back for the first time. You'll need to do it slowly and gradually, lest you damage your SIM pins inside the phone.

After a while, I can however still take out the SIM tray with no issue, only slightly more resistance, but it is otherwise smooth (not like it's puling against the SIM pins)

I used double sided tape only and the Sim chip moves as I slot it in.. But I have another problem of the SD card not detected.. I think I better solve this before I use super glue to stick the micro SD and Sim.. BTW, where u got your phone from? Simder or Newstar?

Clean the surfaces well before using double side tape. And make sure you don't touch the tape when sticking both sides together.

You don't really have to worry too much about the super glue. In case things are done wrongly, use a cotton bud and soak in nail polish remover, and dab it around the sides, then use a pen knife to lift it off. It's much easier because the super glue is technically only stuck between the SIM and the double sided tape.

The optional step, is to use sandpaper to sand down the top side of the MicroSD. Some brands put a thick layer of paint. Don't go too far, or you might damage the card.

The modification requires patience, I took in total 1 hour to do it, first two times, SD card could not be detected.

I got my phone from Newstar...
