Cheapest 32GB is now $309 compared to $285 just days ago. With $30 off is $282 inc delivery.

Should I wait or just get?

Mi Max support only Fat 32 format. I had tried NTFS and exfat format and miui just can't recognize it.

The Challenger staff told me you need to use VFAT... but I've never heard of this format before so I'm assuming you'll need to get the device to do the formatting.

Can anyone with Mi Max confirm if you can move apps to the SD card using the Storage/Apps menus? (my S7 can)

No promos at there, standard price at $349.

Yeah, would be better if you buy from hachi.tech instead ~

Thanks for that. I wonder where the person posting below saw it for under $300 as that's quite cheap.

I have absolutely no need for it given I have my S7 Edge and my Surface Pro 4/iPad Air2 for tablets but for some reason, I feel so drawn to the Mi Max... and I really can't figure out why.

That could be that the person is referring to other booths selling export sets at a cheaper price, but there will be no local warranty for it then.

The poison is attacking you now haha~

Hahaha... correct me if I'm wrong, is the export set running the Google Play rom or is that only available on the Singapore one?

I think that was the main turn off from watching reviews online whereby software instability/crashes when you've installed Google Play yourself. I'm not keen on going through that!

(argh, how do I rationalise this... when I told my wife I am going to COMEX to look at it, she already say to me "If you suddenly start being nicer to me later I know you bought it")

Installing google play in mi max is easy..... i don't experience any crash on my 64gb set (china rom). If you getting 32gb set, even if it comes with china rom, you can easily flash to global rom easily.

Have u enabled the pop up window under the Other permission for Fly Gps??

This is probably due to the feeling or urge of wanting something that is portable, good quality and cheap. Plus, the positive feedback from us. Another point is the Long battery life Of mi max. None of your current devices you mentioned have all those under one body.

Btw, I current own a surface pro 4, a surface 3, an ipad mini2, iPhone 6s, HTC m8. Loll.

Big screen, big battery, thin phone, cheap price. It's a super poison product.

It feels so good to be back to MIUI8 Beta! :s22:

MIUI8 Beta is still much speedier and smoother and have more features that are not available even on the official MIUI8 Stable V8.0.1.0! :s22:

I will stay put with MIUI8 Beta from now onwards! :s22:

Guarantee no U-Turn in this department!

Bro, what feature does beta have and main do not have?

LOL... my wife made me sell my Surface 3, Tab S and iPhone 6 when I upgraded each time lol. I do miss ultra long battery life though as I previously had a Zenfone Max (my first half decent Android phone) but justified upgrading to S7 by giving it to my Mum :)

I think if I can find a good set for under $300 I'd probably just get it since that's my "materiality threshold" for impulse purchases (thank you Creative for exploiting this with an E5/EMU package at least IT show).

So on that note again, can anyone pls help clarify the differences between China set/export set/Singapore set?
