Mine don't always. Only when network is a bit sucky. These few days very often, maybe due to server congestion. It looks common to me though, even my sis sgs n4 also same.

My case is the ball will freeze in the air but the Pokemon will still move. Not the entire screen freezes. As such, I think this is not the phone issue, maybe network or the game itself. If phone is an issue, everything should freeze together.

It does not happen away, once awhile. I am on Miui 8 beta side day 1.

Yes. The pokemon moves and not always like this. Me no problem on this, it's the other bro's daughter problem.

I used to rely on developer's option when it comes to turning off the animation scales. thought that saves some battery.
till I tried without it, battery life improved abit more on standby (though not as long as 2-3hrs)

purely on browsing, wechat.no games and music.

on H (3g) at all times since the network at my workplace can't get 4G as it is underground.

opera mini browser, very good for battery saving. I don't need flash too unless necessary.

Anyway reviews on the china stable miui 8 for 64gb (8.0.2). So far pretty snappy, but batt drain is a bit more compared to miui china stable 7.5 (7.5.6).

I also notice that the ram usage is higher compared to the older miui, higher by around 200 to 300mb.

I had call answered but cannot be heard issue at the start, i off the volte options and it appears to be gone (i off it on the older miui also, since not supported yet by local telco).

Camera performs better then miui 7.5, but still lack the "punch" to it. But it's ok for me, since i not a photographer type of person.

Sound wise, ok for me. Did not try the sound profile as i still prefer normal non-enhance sound. Volume is ok for me, pretty loud. I'm using the piston 3 earphone.

As for notifications delay, i don't experience any.

I think that's all for the review. Overall, the miui 8 china stable rom is pretty good IMHO. I will be trying out the china beta when my vsl is complete.

Haaaaaalllpppp. I entered a code to lock the screen and all seemed well but now the phone keeps rejecting my lock code so I can't unlock it. I Googled and tried to do hard reset by pressing power and volume button but it won't go into the recovery mode - keeps showing me a picture of the phone and a USB cable. Why can't I enter recovery mode? Have not even had the chance to flash the phone 😢

Where's best price to get Mi Max?

I see Lazada only 280+ and Challenger is like 340+? If buy from Lazada got 1 year warranty also? Got playstore installed?

Cheers.

4g is supported, but not for volte for now. When calls comes in, it will auto drop to 3g. After end call, it will go back to 4g.

This pattern is based on single sim setted for voice and data. If let's say, ur sim 1 is voice only and sim 2 is data. Sim 1 will stay 2g/3g and sim 2 will stay 4g/3g/2g. However if call comes in for sim 2, it will also auto drops to 3g.

To simplify, whichever simcard on 4g, when calls comes in for that sim, it will auto drop to 3g. This will happen always until sg telco support the volte for mi max. Fyi.

Have u set ur gps to high accuracy? If u set to batt saving mode for gps (which uses mobile/wifi only), it won't work. Because physical gps must always on for pokemon go.

If get the export set which is using the China ROM instead of the Global ROM , what are the disadvantages ? Thinking to get the 128gb version.

(E)Mi Max 32GB 64GB 128GB - S$330.00,S$400.00,S$490.00

Get from taobao if u planning for 128gb. But low price for silver only. Use forwarder for this. Overall cost should be ard $410.
