Thanks for the reply. I tried but the MiFlash tool couldn't detect my phone at all.

There are some important steps that you need to do.

I followed this :

But you must take note of 2 things :

1. Install MiFlash using the Default folder which they specified
2. All the folder's name CANNOT have space

This are the 2 things which I corrected and managed to complete the flash.

Can we use any brand of Microsd card for mi max?


Or do I have to buy a specific brand that can only be formatted to Fat32? Sorry that I'm asking stupid questions. Really have no clue.

Any microSD card should work fine. Yes, must be FAT32. If you want to format any microSD card that is 64GB or bigger, you'll need 3rd party program.

No, played very well. Anyone have any issues on the security of the fingerprint unlocking.
Yesterday I wanna impress my wife on this new feature which I find it useful. She can also unlock using her index fingers despite I recreate my fingerprints profile.

Don't forget that one can Double Tap to wake screen in MIUI8 just likes those LG phones.

There is an option to enable it in Settings. By default, it is turned off.

Somehow it is too sensitive.. I put inside pocket the screen always on.. So I off the feature
