My Mi Max has been slow in receiving messages on Whatsapp and Telegram. Sometime need to open the app then the messages will come in one shot though time stamps are few hours ago. I have tried to tweak the setting to remove any restriction but still persist.

Anybody can help? Many TIA.

Open Security app, change the following options :
- Permission, autostart Whatsapps
- Battery, App Battery, choose Whatsapps set to no restriction, then switch off Battery Saver

Do the same for Telegram

Reboot...

It doesnt work. Before china stable rom 8.0.2, everything work fine.
When i am on wifi, i am able to receive the notification immediately but when i am on cellular, i can only receive msg by opening the app.

I have tried to do the advice in blue as somehow the phone like going into sleep mode and kill everything. But no improvement.

Now I am trying the Permission settings.

Try clear cache, clear data and then uninstall WhatsApp.

Reboot phone. Reinstall WhatsApp.

Hope this traditional method works...
