Thanks for the advice! I just received the phone this afternoon, and you are right... it comes with Miui7 Global ROM. All I needed to is to update once under Miui7, and the next upate prompted me to update to Miui v8.0.1.0 MBCMIDF Stable. Currently downloading...

Once update to Miui8, I will try Mi Mover as recommended by you. I decided not to use MiFlash beta to flash to Miui8 Beta as I read that Pokemon Go cannot work with Beta as it is considered as "rooted".

I've been eyeing it, but didn't know if it's good cos it costs a bit more than the other common cases.

Btw, you can also order it direct from Nillkin's aliexpress store for US$7.22/approx S$10.

I was pleased with quality of the same Nillkin brand case for Asus Zenfone Max (same shape/style/etc) so plan to get the same again. I was at Parkway Parade today and saw a Mercury Goospery case for $19 but I wasn't a fan of the sparkles on the black.

Tempered glass attempts failed - visited a few shops, Challenger was cheapest at under $10 before Hachi.tech/Member discounts; and after Hachi.tech discount it was under $7 including fitting... BUT, they couldn't apply it properly. Both left and right edge showed the light colour from it not sticking (like a bubble). I went to another shop (the one which sold the case above) and they were willing to do it for about $20 but couldn't guarantee no bubbles/etc so I went outside. I warned the shop outside about same concerns and he said should be fine but unfortunately even at $15 fitted, it had same issue.

My conclusion: tempered glass doesn't work on this phone. Therefore will wait for healing shield. Or if I can hold out for the Nillkin case which comes with one.

1 and only y2k. They on 2nd floor. Shld be same product that mobile sq selling.

Mercury goospery also gd. I love their quality. Forgot abt this. Might hoot from aliex if there's any.

Yeah, not the 100% clear ones at least. The ones that kinda work now are those with the built-in bezel and rely on the adhesive around the border.

the phone so big and wide goospery very thick one about 1.5 to 2mm thick... rather use 0.3mm or 0.5mm tpu more slender

Google Maps says Y2K is permanently closed? I assume this is just a typo but will check it out tomorrow.

How much did you pay for your case btw as I think it looks great.

I am running MIUI 8 Global Beta. I am playing Pokémon Go on it. No issue leh.

miPCSuite

Hi,

Has anyone used MiPCSuite wit Mi Max? Mine canno detect the phone and prompted me to update the phone. But system update in Miui8 alreay says no update found.

Any idea what happened? Many thanks in advance!

Could be closed cause gahmen acquired back the land to make NS expressway. Better call first.

I paid 10 for my transparent tpu
